Olivier Labarde is well known for his outstanding wine cellar with some 600 labels, and for being especially good at discovering the best of the "winemakers' wine." Convivial food is the key here, and it's well provided by Eric Cherval who livens up the standards. Tartines and terrines, pork cutlet; gnocchis with grated truffles; top-quality andouillette; lamb confit with Albenga lemon; house sorbets and ice creams... make for good, straightforward eating. Wine of the day, by the glass or in bottles (offered with no tariff for opening); an exploratory card with interesting meetings among the vines; and then olive oils, vinegars, champagnes, Spanish and Corsican charcuterie. Olivier is also associated with Vinivore on Rue de la Republique, where the story is much the same.
